The Center for Remote Sensing, Inc. has released, IONMGPS-001-04, the first software radio monitoring receiver with a patented built-in calibrator for precise calibration of receiver code and phase bias. This receiver has been designed and built from the ground up (not based on, or limited by available GPS engines) to be the world's most sensitive, precise, and easy to use ionospheric and atmospheric monitoring GPS receiver. The CRS ionospheric monitoring receiver is capable of measuring absolute TEC to 0.1 TECU, displays and logs GPS data at up to 50 Hz rate, and the software architecture allows for simulating and compensating biases on scintillation parameter calculation by tracking loop filters.
